Is Gary Force Acura a reputable repair shop in the Nashville area? Any other recommendations for a 60K tune up on a MDX would be a appreciated as well.

I don't have any experience with them...but they have been around for a very long time and they are the main Acura dealer in this area. They have a nice facility out at Cool Springs...but I honestly can't vouch for their quality.

As far as I know, Gary Force is the only Acura dealer in the Nashville area. I always received good service from them - my car was washed and I was given a loaner car every time I requested one without hesitation. When my Dad passed away in 2004, my Acura was in their shop waiting for a part to come in. They gave me a brand new Acura TL with about 10 miles on the odometer and told me to drive it wherever I needed to go and bring it back when I was ready. We buried Daddy back in his home state of Kentucky and when I got the loaner back to Acura a few days, it had over 600 miles. My car was repaired, cleaned and ready to go and they expressed their condolences for my loss and gave me a sympathy card signed by the staff. The repair was covered under warranty so they weren't just sucking up to get my check.

That said, Accurate Automotive in LaVergne just off I-24 services Honda and Acura cars exclusively and they do a fine job at a good price. Until recently the owners lived just down the road from me and they are hardworking, honest people. They replaced my AC 2 summers ago for around $900 and the Honda dealer quoted around $1300 for the same job. You're not going to receive the 'white glove' treatment like you would at Gary Force and no loaner cars are available. Now that I drive a Honda Odyssey, I miss the special treatment from the dealer which bites 'cause my van cost a lot more than my TL did!

IIRC, a 60k tune-up for my Odyssey was around $350 at Accurate Automotive - I assume it would be fairly comparable for an MDX.

We have used Gary Force & Bennett's Automotive in Smyrna: 459-5881.
We use Gary Force for things that we need done quickly since it's closer to our house. They treat customers really well We use Bennett's for larger jobs like timing belts where we will save enough money to make it worth a drive to Smyrna. The owner of Bennett's is really honest, and he does great work for a great price. We refer people to him all the time and everyone we refer has been really happy.
