Jean, Nevada. I can't get much online. Just the basic stuff, growth, jobs, stores,etc.

There ain't much. Commercial area 30 miles south of Las Vegas on US 15. No or very few residents. Two casinos, one of which is closed. Some other commercial stuff. No where to live there at the moment though perhaps the site of a coming development.

i think there is a mobile home park and a couple of ranches that are mainly in nearby Goodsprings and Sandy Valley

They closed Nevada Landing out there and are building a bunch of homes and another casino I think. I guess they decided to put in some housing to keep their workers. Hopefully they will keep the housing affordable in comparison to their wages. But probably not.
Most people commute to Jean from Vegas anyway. If you want to work in Jean or Primm, get housing on the south strip near South Point. It's not such a bad commute from there.
