Ill be making a trip to Keene some time between now and end July to check out the Swampbats, I have a family member on the team this season. I havent decided yet if it will be a weekend trip or midweek yet, who knows maybe Ill make two trips. Any recommendations on hotels, restaurants and bars. I checked out a few hotels online and was interested in the place on Main St., I cant recall the name at the moment.
On Main St., maybe the Lane Hotel? Never stayed there, but it's supposed to be good, and it's nicely located. We stayed at the Best Western several times before moving to the area, and it was just fine, though pricey, I thought. There's also a newer Marriott near Main St., downtown.
Luca's for dinner is my favorite restaurant in Keene. Nicola's is also good, and Pappagalo's (in Swanzey, nearby). I like Keene a lot - and visit there from Peterborough about once a week to shop or visit a restaurant. Lots of stores (compared to 5 yrs ago) and restaurants.

Thanks for the response, yes it is th Lane Hotel. It looked nice on their website but you never know. I definitely want something downtown that way I can just walk around to places. Again thanks.
If you are into Asian food, the Thai Garden on Main St is always very good, and has a devoted following. Check out the Colonial Theater for what's playing. Kristin's Bakery just off Central Square is great for coffee and pastries in the morning. Elm City Brewery is an old standard.
