Feels like half the "restrict your freedom" bills are the newly elected democrats "stiggin it to conservatives", or as Rep. Chase put it "What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict the ‘freedoms’ that they think they will find here."

So, please if you go to any town halls or see any candidates please ask them this question "Which of your proposed policies will do to enhancing my freedom rather than limit it?"
Not all Democratic candidates want to take away private health insurance. Many (Biden, Klobuchar, Buttegieg, Gabbard) want to keep private insurance along with a public option.

I have not heard any candidate say they will stop you from using oil heat or dictating what kind of car you drive. Maybe you are referring to the Green New Deal, which calls for

"Overhauling transportation systems in the United States to eliminate pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector as much as is technologically feasible, including through investment in – (i) zero-emission vehicle infrastructure and manufacturing; (ii) clean, affordable, and accessible public transportation; and (iii) high-speed rail."

Sanders is sometimes a little vague, but that's pretty much what it says in the Green New Deal part of Bernie's website.

The same Green New Deal which seven of 10 Democratic presidential candidates who are members of Congress co-signed. And Biden, Delaney, Buttigieg, Yang and several also-rans have endorsed carbon taxes on fossil fuels, and several are proposing to use the revenue as a carrot-and-stick, similar to what Seattle just passed-- tax HHO, use part of the revenue to help low-income residents replace their furnaces, and ignore that you're sticking all of Northern New England with significantly higher annual heating costs.

Warren recently stated "I took his advice and adopted his vision with a comprehensive plan to complete the transition to clean energy by decarbonizing our electricity, our vehicles, and our buildings by 2030", specifically her plan states "All new commercial and residential buildings -- including public housing -- will have zero carbon pollution by 2028" as well as "By 2030, we’ll reach 100% zero emissions for all new light-duty passenger vehicles, medium-duty trucks, and all buses", meaning no new gas-driven passenger cars in the near future.

So only will we be freezing at home, but with plug-in EVs, we'll also have to choose between freezing in our cars or stopping halfway to pay for a Supercharger top-off. Such a deal!
