Given the other discussion thread on here discussing wells I decided to e-mail what I thought was the relevant state office and see what I could find out about my own. What I basically found out is that prior to the mid 80s these records were not kept by the state and only the original installer *might* have the records...needless to say, I am out of luck.

HOWEVER...I received a call back within 15 minutes of my e-mail from someone who knew a ton about wells, water quality, etc. They also have a well testing program which seems to offer a very extensive battery of tests for a reasonable cost.

So...I encourage anyone who has ANY questions about wells, water quality, etc...to contact the state office becuase they will give you an extensive amount of information.

Yet another way the "services" of NH have impressed me and I wanted to share for anyone who may be interested.

Private Well Testing - Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau - NH Department of Environmental Services

You can also get details on your well, here:

*I'm assuming that I can post "government" websites and its not advertising?
