My husband and I are currently house hunting in Cherry Hill. We have found a home in the Barclay-Kingtson section of Cherry Hill, and we have found another in the Erlton-Ellisburg section on Cherry Hill. Any opinions on which is a nicer area? It seems the Barclay-Kingston section is not as busy as the Erlton-Ellisburg section. However in the home we found in the Barclay-Kingston area is located near Waterford apartments. My husband and I don't know anything about those aparments. We don't know if we should be concerned by living so close to an apartment complex. Can anyone shed some light on these two sections of Cherry Hill, please? Thank you.

My parents bought a house in Barclay Farms in 1964. It's a nice development & the houses are well made.

I bought in Kingsway Village near Waterford & lived there for 20 years. Waterford is not a problem at all.

Both areas are excellent although property values are higher in the Barclay section as many of the homes are larger. People like that Barclay has its own elementary school within the confines of the neighborhood in addition to two swim clubs. Homes in Erlton also tend to be about 20 years older than those in Barclay and Kingston although you will find many updated homes in all of Cherry Hill since residents take great pride in their homes.

I wonder why you are putting Barclay and Kingston together. They are on opposite sides of Route 70 - and the housing is different in the two sections. The Barclay homes tend to be higher priced and I believe that the elementary school there is stronger.
