Your wealthy list really has me scratching my head. Especially with Highland Park and Cranbury.
Honestly if I had that kind of money, no town in NJ would be on my list of places to live. If I was a multi-millionare I'd be in a warmer climate, somewhere out on the west coast.

New Jersey will lose to states on the west coast with climate and cost of living. However, education wise, crime wise, looking at factors such as culture and food, New Jersey will beat any western state with the possible exception of Nevada because of Las Vegas. The east coast may be older (except certain parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida) but in my view it is far superior to the west coast OVERALL.

A lot of these go hand in hand. Couldn't help mentioning a few more than once. FWIW, these are my personal preferences.
Retirees and those on a budget should look into central NJ, but it just isn't northern New Jersey. If your going to live in Philadelphia, live in Bucks County because Cherry Hill is next to Camden and PA is cheaper. The NJ shore is great for a day trip, but there are limited towns there to live in. North Jersey has its rough sections along the NJ Turnpike, but west of the turnpike and east of Sussex County is great; within 50-55 minutes of the city and georgous suburbs.
