My parents are going to visit me soon, and they will take international flight to newark airport(EWR) and need to go to Grand Central station to take a train. Can any one tell me the easiest public transportation they should take?
An alternative of trying to take the train from EWR, to Penn Station, and then somehow trying to get cross-Manhattam to GCT is a nightmare, especially for non-NY'ers, and would only be $1-2 cheaper.
You take the Airtrain form Airport to the Main Station , then you take the Train over to New York Penn Station. Then at NYP you can take a bus or a Taxi to GCT.

Gravy Boat is right. I've done this before on one separate occasion, from LGA actually, using NY Airport Service, and it is the most painless, least stressful way to do it.
Newark Airtrain to EWR NJTransit Station,
Take NEC or NJCL from EWR Station to NY Penn
Take 1,2, or 3 train uptown to 42nd Street
Take the S Train to GCT
Keep in mind if they are 62yrs or over the bus ticket is half price. Trains have a similar deal.
