Just saw the list of questions:
Molly is coming from NC and will be working midtown Manhattan.

She will be renting and $1000/mo is her budget.

No spouse, pets or kids. Schools unimportant.

She wants a safe neighborhood, makes friends easily, wants to be around people her age or a little older (25-28).

List three things that are important to you in order of importance: safety, commute to midtown Manhattan, walking distance to PATH in Hoboken, nightlife.

Hope you get the advice you're seeking. I really can't help you with Hoboken ... I DO know it's pretty expensive there. But there are some very helpful and knowledgeable people on this forum. I'm sure that some will give you great information.
