Really???

That really flies into the face to what I have heard that has Boonton as a town that you would want to stay away from. While it is FAR from dangerous, there are more appealing options in Morris county, especially for the dollar.

While it isnt the be all end all, FWIW, Boonton HS dropped in the latest NJ Monthly rankings from 112 to 130.

Boonton wouldn't be high on my list either.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a town. I love the walkable downtown, the diverse and engaged populace, the location, and the history. My family's been in Boonton since the 1930s and while it's certainly had its down years, Boonton's been steadily improving since I moved here in 1996.

Try Whippany. There is several townhouse communities where you should be able to rent.

Default Ridgewood/Wyckoff/Scotch Plains

Is the commute from Morristown to Ridgewood, Wyckoff, or Scotch Plains too long? Does anyone have a preference for any of these towns and why? And which has the best downtown- walkable w/ great shops and restaurants? Which would be considered the most family friendly? Just trying to get a feel for some of the towns surrounding Morristown.
