what you aren't factoring in is that there will be traffic your entire route. i used to work in woodcliff lake & it would take me 30 minutes with traffic from new milford which is another north jersey bergen county town. woodcliff lake is the last exit on the gsp- that is an extremely long commute. i would never ever do that.

Why are you moving to Princeton and working in Woodcliff Lakes. Princeton is nice if work is not far.

Woodcliff Lakes is a nice town surrounded by other nice towns. You will going through traffic hell and a long commute.

What so special about Princeton that you would subject yourself to this. Why not live alot closer?

I have to agree this is an insane idea, and this is coming from someone who has a long commute! What you're considering makes my job look like it's around the corner from my house. I don't know what the weather is like in RI today but here in NJ there's a pretty bad snow storm it would probably take 2 to 3 hours to get home to Princeton from Woodcliff Lake today, same as it will on summer Fridays.

Can you please enlighten us as to why on earth you are even considering this?? You didn't mention family in the area or anything, what even made princeton come up on your radar?

there is a nice commuting benefit of not living in nyc but you are kind of throwing it away by living so far south.

I commuted briefly from South Plainfield to Montvale (which is next to Woodcliff Lake), and years later from Edison to Roseland and West Caldwell, and I thought I was crazy at the time. Your proposed commute is even crazier.

Thanks everyone for your detailed description about my potential 'insane commute'
I knew I could count on this forum !!

I have put my 'Princeton' idea to rest and have started looking at places closer to Woodcliff Lake.

Is there any bus that I can take rather than the Pascack line from Seacaucus???

start on the wrong foot with this...
So will people be familiar with this kind of commute and not think otherwise??
