I was wondering why the World Wrestling Entertainment has not been in Jersey for many many years since Christine Todd Whitman days and wondered why after so many years have they come back. Little did I know that Mcgreevy was the reason for them being banned I dont know how accurate this was and if this is indeed true Why was there a ban keeping them from preforming in NJ. With all the state issues in why not try to generate more money by allowing sporting events such as these take place here.

Talking wwe in nj

I'd be surprised if McGreevey would want to keep some bodybuilders in tights out of his state. But anyways WWE has been back in NJ since 1997 with no issues whatsoever here are four examples:

WWF King of the Ring 2001 took place on Sunday June 24, 2001 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ

WWE Smackdown took place on Tuesday November 28, 2002 at the Continenta Airlines Arena in East Rutherford,NJ

WWE No Mercy 2004 took place on Sunday October 3, 2004 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ

WWE Raw on Monday July 31, 2006 at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford,NJ

These shows were during and after Jimmy boy was running NJ. They also run shows in Trenton,Wildwood,Atlantic City and soon Newark.

Now why you wanted to know this is another thing haha j/k

I wonder if CAA will keep its shows even after the Pru Center opens. I heard they lost the 'Continental' name because they lost two tenants. Will WWE follow suit permanently?

Default CAA's future in doubt

Future in doubt and Xanadu:

Plans have been unveiled to downscale the arena in conjunction with several developments, including a new arena for the Nets in Brooklyn, New York called Barclays Center, a new arena for the Devils in Newark called Prudential Center, and the creation of a new alternative entertainment and shopping center, Xanadu on the Meadowlands grounds. The relocations of the tenant sports franchises, as well as Xanadu's current construction while the arena is still in use, leaves the arena's future in doubt.

and WWE has signed on to do their matches at the Newark Prudential Center. Their last show is next Sunday with the 20th annual SummerSlam pay per view.
