Hello,

I just moved to Lincoln Park last month, and I looking for late night/early morning transportation from NYC to Wayne/Lincoln Park at weekends. I'm not a big partier, but I have some friends in Manhattan, and would love to meet up with them at bars and shows there, but I'm concerned about late night weekend commutes home. During the day, I use the 194/324 bus to wayne23 transit center, but I check the schedule, and there is no transportation after 12am or before 6am.

Last bus at 12am seems entirely too early to be going back home, so how would you recommend I get home. Would I have to be reliant on cabs? And if so would I be better off taking a cab from Manhattan or taking the PATH to Hoboken and then taking a cab from there. Do you have a guess on how much will it cost?

All your help is appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

Have a good day!

You can try taking the NJT Morristown Line to Denville and then catching a cab from there.

Here's the schedule: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/R0040.pdf

The last train leaves NY Penn Station at 1:19AM.

There's also a Montclair-Bontoon Line train that leaves Hoboken at 1:17AM. You can take it to Bay Street and then take a cab from there.

Here's the schedule: http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/rail/R0030.pdf

It's not much, but it buys you another hour or so.

Also, there's a taxi stand at Newark Penn Station, so it'll be cheaper than taking a cab directly to Manhattan (the NJT Northeast Corridor Line runs until about 1:50AM I believe, and the PATH runs 24/7)
