Hi, I am gonna apply for NJ ezpass. Do they reduce the fee for more than 3 people in GW bridge? I will drive with my wife and 2 daughters. Do you know how to apply? Thanks
E-ZPass offers discounts at bridge and tunnel crossings in the region. And if you travel across the Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge, or Outerbridge Crossing, enrollment in the Port Authority NY/NJ Staten Island Bridges Plan (NY/NJ SIB Plan) is a great way to save money!
All E-ZPass tags on the account count towards the minimum trip requirement, so multiple-driver households have an easy way to save with the NY/NJ SIB Plan.
Savings begin with the 6th trip for PEAK HOUR customers who enroll in the NY/NJ SIB Plan.
Savings begin with the 7th trip for OFF-PEAK customers who enroll in the NY/NJ SIB Plan.
There is a way to get a carpool discount if you go in with 3 or more people. I think you have to use a manned toll lane. I should check that myself since once in a while we have 4 people going into a show or something.
You have to register your EZ pass for PACP plan (Port Authority Car Pool).
PACP - This plan is for commuters with 3 or more occupants in a vehicle, traveling on the Port Authority facilities. You must use a staffed "Full Service" toll lane. Carpool discounts are not valid in "E-ZPass only" toll lanes. You must also come to a Complete Stop, so that the toll collector can verify that there are at least three people in your vehicle.
register for the car pool plan. go to an ez pass lane where there is a worker present. if you have atleast 3 people all you have to say is carpool and they'll charge you for the carpool price
