Oh sorry.

I have actually some Jewish friends who will join us for Christmas dinner. You don't have to be Christian to celebrate the holiday.

You don't need to go to any local store or mall to be entertained. There's plenty of things to see and do outdoors that don't require any entrance, such as going to the parks, hiking on mountain, walking around NYC, etc.

Things are closed only for 2-3 holidays anyway (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) so it's not such a big deal.
