Im taking my son to the Medievil Times in Lyndhurst for his birthday. Is there anything esle around that area that a school age boy would enjoy doing since the show doesn't start until after mid-day??

Any suggestions are welcomed.

This.

Not sure the state it's in post-Sandy but there's really cool paths and boardwalks through the meadowlands.

To tell the truth, not much... I grew up in Newark-Kearny and Maplewood.. I even remember when they built Medivil times in 89-90...

There is just not much if anything at all for kids around there except for Dekorte Park... However maybe you wanna check Belleville its just on the other side of the bridge and a straight shot down the Beleville pike I was just up there in September and it has changed a lot.. They even put a movie theater and other businesses up there has gotta be something there..

Hop the train or bus into the city? Lol. It's Lyndhurst, not much to do.
There are plenty of malls in the area.
