Just like the other 5000 people posting about where to move...I am going to be lame and do the same. I work in midtown Manhatthan and I am apartment hunting. I am torn between a few places. staying here in NJ and moving to jersey city or montclair or moving to Brooklyn in the Williamsburg, greenpoint or park slope. I really want to live in an exciting neighborhood that has a decent art scene...i m only 22 so i need fun stuff to do!!
My max for rent is 1300 for a one bedroom ( i of course want something cheaper, and a place that is clean and no bug problems..b/c i dont want to live in some crap hole). I like living in NJ but i am looking further down the road, b/c if i do stay i will have to get a car ( I am a recent grad..working a temp job, but getting hired full time soon, and my hours for work will be 1-9, so transportation to and from NJ at night are an issue) So blah blah blah yada yada. I just need some advice on where to turn for apartment searching in BK..craigslist sucks, and i don't trust it 100%...so if anyone knows of any good brokers/realtor's/friends moving out of their places or any advice will help. Thanks and have a happy thanksgiving!
