You must be a member of the Teabagger Party

Because they are, and people are sheep.

This is why I usually try to vote Independent or Libertarian.

No, I hope that was sarcastic. It should be clear that I think both parties are useless especially their more militant wings. I do think politics is very entertaining. I love listening to Rush Limbaugh and Al Sharpton.

This is exactly right. People like to take sides, and I think in some regard, like conflict. I guess it's all part of human nature. I haven't voted for anything in over 10 years and pay no attention to politics. It's all a bunch of nonsense geared towards personal gain. Makes no difference who you vote for one way or the other.

I have long said we are ripe for a well funded third party--provided it met in the middle. Fiscally conservative, socially liberal--but not too much on either extreme. Just centrist.

But it will never happen....... it has been tried.

......but the politics of destruction really bother me. "A house divided cannot stand" and God knows we are damn divided....and we have forgotten how to play fair and argue thoughtfully.

If people of both parties weren't so downright nasty and rude to one another, with the name calling and stereotypes and whatever else goes on, then I don't think people would care nearly as much about party affiliation.

It's amazing that you can teach a 4 year old to share, but something happens when they turn 40 and start caring about politics.
If only I could rep you +100 more times.

Most times I'm wishing the party system would just be completely abolished, and we could just vote for individuals.
