It seems absurd. Both sides seem corrupt and incompetent.

Because Republicans are stuck in the 17th Century and need their heads examined.

Because people like to divide themselves into "Us vs Them". Black vs white. Christian vs Jews. Jews vs. Muslim. Catholic Vs. Protestant. Hutsis vs Tutus. North Jersey vs. South Jersey.

I agree with the OP. They're all politicians; therefore, they are all corrupt and many are incompetent. If they were decent, upstanding people to begin with, they'd never have a shot at high office.

Both parties only care about power less about the people or the issues. Both parties flip flop positions depending on the balance of power. It is more about a game and less about fixing problems with real solutions. I'm neither repub or dem because I see pros/cons of both platforms, however there's a value for their opposition.

Just as stated above, both parties work for themselves but in different ways. In the end , they are the same . Closed door deals. They go in for power and money , take all of that away and problems solved.

I would get rid of all the idiots we have in office now. Fresh young honest new blood is needed. New policies for politics and terms.

I like the phrase "they went to Washington to do good and stayed to do well"

Exactly. These knuckleheads think that if their party had all the power everything would be perfect. They believe the other side is the only thing preventing utopia.

It's amazing that you can teach a 4 year old to share, but something happens when they turn 40 and start caring about politics.

Yes, that's the problem. Let's give the democrats all the power. How's that obamacare website working? About as well as the traffic in Fort Lee?

Learn to care. Learn to share.
