The NJCL needs fences in many places. NEC is fairly well protected compared to other NJ transit lines as hits are not only instantly fatal but fast flying bodies add additional threat of lethality to trains approaching in the opposite direction .

That possibly has a lot to do with the fact that NJCL is a NJTransit rail line.

The vast majority of those hit by trains want to be hit.

I went to high school with a guy who committed a "trespassing incident".
Yes he purposely lay across the tracks and was run over by the train who did not see him in the dark with black clothing on.

I got stuck on a train on the NEC this past snowfall due to a similar incident. They used the same words.

I'm not sure if the whole "tresspasser fatality" thing is to ward off lawsuits or to make the engineer feel better. Really, if you're going to commit suicide, you should use a cop, not a train. At least they enjoy it.
I really hope you're being sarcastic.

The social justice crowd has euphemisms for everything and it creeps into the culture through human resources and lawyers. Not to say the government is not the center of excellence for disguised meanings.
'Reproducing medium' for instance is a pencil. Fine for tax, tax for fine, Al Qaeda, no not that Al Qaeda,
'terminate with extreme prejudice'. Hunters harvest and not kill, 'take out your enemies' means to well we're not sure what Hoffa jr actually meant by that. NJ the garden state.

People have been hit by trains since there were trains running thru towns. Fences are a feel good effort to keep out lawyers.

Always enjoyed shooting and killing people. Especially around the holidays it gave us something to talk about having Christmas dinner.

Not sure about you, but I harvest deer, and I kill coyotes. Much the way a farmer harvests grain, but kills weeds. Just sayin...
