This is really frustrating...the NJUFILE link to claim weekly benefits leads only to a site allowing for biweekly claiming. I received my letter with instructions saying to file weekly, so there's a conflict right there.
The problem I'm having is that my last day of work was 12-31-13, so I worked a day and a half of the first 2 weeks I'm claiming for. The site keeps telling me to fill in hours worked/pay received for last week (the second of the 'biweekly' filing), only I have no hours/wages because I was laid off by then. Entering zeros brings the same error message...so does anyone have any info/help on this???

I've sat on the phone for hours and hours trying to get someone to answer the question, but, surprise! "Call centers are busy". So I'm trying here...

You can file weekly or Bi-Weekly, it works the same. The computer knows when you filed last, so if your filing every week, it says the time frame your filing for. You can file weekly one week and wait two weeks and file bi-weekly the next time if you want.

As for the second part of your question, Did you report you worked a full week last time your filed. It's my understanding if no benefits are paid for a week, the computer closes your claim, forcing you to call to get it reopened.
