CNN has been following up for the past three days, the story about the two escapees that broke through the cinder- block- jail in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and covered the hole on the wall with pornographic material. MY QUESTION IS: How do most taxpayers feel, when they are paying such high-property taxes, to know that the state is doing very little to protect them? According to CNN, this jail does not even have the proper amount of security cameras around the perimeter of the building. A caller to the program, who used to work for the Corrections Department there, stated that police salaries of over $200,000, plus per year with overtime, are very common. As of this writing, they are still missing, and they do not even know when they left! Obviously, a lot of people were not doing their job! WHAT an EMBARRASMENT for the state across the nation!
