Me and my soon to be wife just went to Toms River to visit family. We love the area. We currently live in TN. How hard would it be to relocate up here? We would need to make at lest 16+ hr each to pay our bills. How hard would it be to find a job making that? I've seen cost of living is really high, but everyone says they get paid more. How much more? Thank you for all of your help.

I dont think it would be particularly difficult to do. Toms River is relatively affordable for NJ.

Pay depends on what you do, skills/degree. Personally if I had a life in TN that was good I wouldn't drop it all and come to NJ. I love nj but its very expensive, leads the US in out migration as well. For many people with jobs, family friends and customs that we are used to its worth the price. Without having all these things in place I do not know why one would choose to move here lol

As OP stated, depending on the type of job you are seeking and your skills, would determine your pay. Pay is higher in NJ than in TN but Toms River might not afford you a good job. Check out the CLASSIFIED ADS in Asbury Park Press newspaper and Ocean County News.

Thank you for all of your help. We would be only moving to be closer to family. If it wasn't for family I wouldn't even think about moving here.
