MQ id suggest you start at Marble Arch, walk down Oxford st on to regents st then on to Piccadilly Circus, straight to Whitehall.

On route you will pass selfridges, lily whites, hamleys, Trafalgar Square, Westminster abbey, parliament, the millennium wheel plus Westminster abbey

Hope you have a nice time.

An excellent suggestion!

I also enjoy strolling along nearby Jermyn Street, the location of the really upscale, bespoke men's shops.
Lots of atmospheric window shopping on that street!

Also located on that same street is Floris, my favorite perfumer.
And, one of my old favorite restaurants, Rowley's might still be in existence on Jermyn Street.
If Rowley's is still there, they feature an excellent sliced entrecote steak in butter sauce, with unlimited chips, at a reasonable price. (Note: "Reasonable" in London will still be fairly pricey by US standards.)

Edited to add:
Rowley's is still in business!
Here is a link to their menu:

Good suggestions yourself

That's the beauty of central London you literally have everything at your door step. I'm well lucky to have been brought up here.

As for my contribution, Rutherford is a dry town so any restaurant for that matter is BYO.

Both my husband and I enjoyed it quite a bit. We don't have that many good Mexican places in the area so we were happy to find this one.

As far as I know, I think 70-80% of Bergen county restaurants are BYOB. I wonder if the liquor licensing is completely different in NYC. As far as I know, BYOB restaurants are rare in either Manhattan, Queens or Brooklyn.

I love the BYOB's! I especially love the bill at the end of the meal. With such a high markup on alcohol at restaurants, I end up saving a lot of money.

There are MANY. Thai Thai in Gillette has it and there is a liquor store next door to the restaurant.

Is Mexicali Rose open. I thought they closed a while back, no?
