Does Hackensack, NJ have a downtown area similar to Montclair? What are apartment prices like for a large studio/1 bedroom? Any other towns up that way that may fit what i'm looking for?

I'm looking to move up that way and I'm looking for a town that has a similar downtown area to Montclair but where I can get a large, nice studio or 1 bedroom for 900/month or less.

Any input?

Hackensack's used to have a vibrant downtown. Some may still think that it does. But others will think that it no longer does. Hackensack is going through some changes in terms of residents

Sad to say, Hackensack is not vibrant in comparison to so many other towns...I am not sure what it is......but it lacks the luster you are looking for.

Personally, I wouldn't compare Hackensack to Montclair.
