Hey friends of the forum!!
I'm new here and I just received a job offer as. Flight attendant and I'm most likely going to be based in Newark .. Are there any cities within an hour of the airport that is reasonable to live in? I'm from Nashville so I knew compared to there it's going to probably be ridiculous but if anyone knows of anywhere reasonable of any cities that's be great! I won't be home that often and it doesn't exactly have to be the best place ever just something to get me started !! If anyone has any info that'd be great

Numerous United flight attendants live in the Ironbound section of Newark. I actually rent an apartment to three of them. There is a shuttle 1/4 mile away that takes employees to the airport. An hour away is along ride to go to work.

Yeah I figured because of traffic and stuff but since I won't be home very often I really don't want something too expensive that I'll just be paying. For to sit empty !! Thank you though

The Ironbound section isn't "expensive." It will probably equal to most of the towns you find an hour away.

Iron Bound is a Brazilian neighborhood, if you're not Brazilian I do not recommend.

I saw some apartments in Irvington on Marshall street I think going for like 700-800 one bedroom is that a bad area? The pics don't look so bad but you never know

You could try a town like Union. It tends to be cheaper than many other towns in the area and would only be about a 15 minute drive to the airport.

Yes, it is a bad area!
You should not even consider renting in Irvington if you value your safety.
