Well, it seems like half of places like Old Bridge and Manalapan are Staten Island transplants so it'll almost fell like you never left. The former is an easy commute to "The Rock" as I've overheard transplants call it in their thick Noo Yawk accents.
My bad... You did mention family in Bergen County. No harm meant.
Old Bridge would actually not be bad choice for a couple where one works at RU and one works in Staten Island.
In all seriousness, I'd go with Metuchen if I were you, though. Nice, little town in a good location for you.
I would loose it if someone thought I was from SI!!! I kid I kid haha
Metuchen seems tight/congested - if we are too go for a community like that, then we might as well do Westfield.
How is Watchung or greenbrook township? How do these two compare to Warren? I see these both touch up against Plainfiled, but I am not sure which Plainfiled is good and which is bad?
Have you considered buying or borrowing a wrench in order to tighten whatever is loose?
Otherwise, you might lose that object!
O man - must be so hard to understand what I meant. Next time I will make sure I don't get a grammar police citation. Thanks for your contribution to this thread.
Martinsville is really the best section of Bridgewater Township, with a very nice, rural feel to it.
However, there is currently no "downtown", unless you count a few strip malls, but sometime next year there will be a new mall on Rt. 22 in Martinsville, which will include a very large Whole Foods as the anchor store. The only traditional downtown in the region is located in Somerville.
HOw is Martinsville? How does it compare to others? Schools? Downtown?
Martinsville has a similar feel town wise as Warren and Watchung. Driving Mountain Blvd you wouldn't know driving one town into the next. However, after more consideration I would eliminate it based off the fact that it's further from S.I. and while not bad, Bridgwater/Raritan HS is not on the same level as Watchung Hills Reg HS
