Well we've looked through the "gold coast" areas and we're curious to know if anyone has lived or lives at the Penninsula @city Place? It seems very reasonable considering it's location, but I'm trying to understand why? Perhaps I'm a little cautious - but I've always been taught if something sounds too good - there is probably a reason. We went by for a visit, and we thought it looked great - so what's the catch? Also, it would appear the taxes for this is considered Bergen County - does anyone know if Bergen County is more expensive or less expensive then Hudson. OHHHHHHHHHHH and, when we were driving down by Jacobs or Dobbs something - we smelled a HORENDOUS smell - does anyone know anything about that?
Thank you all for your HONEST feedback, we're still researching and looking at more places, but wanted to get some more info.
The smell is usually from the water in the summer and it is bad some days and some days it is non-existent. I was wondering about the same thing when we were looking at waterfront areas but once we started living there we realized it was not as big an issue as I thought.
i grew up in the area and my parents rent there every summer. there are times when the water smells.. there is nothing that can be done about it- it's only a summer thing.. it never smells in the winter.
i think the pros for living in the area outweigh the cons.
