The safest place would be the new University Centre student housing directly across Lock Street from NJIT, on Central Ave. The buildings have just been completed, and the first residents are moving in for the fall semester. The rooms are much nicer than any of the dorms on campus, and nicer than most apartments in the area as well.

Society Hill in Newark would also be a good place to try. There are many students renting the condos there. When I owned one, I rented to an NJIT student for a while.

Default Society Hill Condo

Hi lgsdss,

Have you sold? I'm currently looking at purchasing a unit at Society Hill. Was it a good location for you? Any feedback?
