We need a "leaker" to give us the details. According to the article they are still negotiating several other contracts. I think the biggest issue for the teachers was the share of health care that they pay. This contract when and if it is approved will be used by other towns as a comparision during negotiations.

I agree, I'm sure many towns are watching this closely
Having gone to school in NJ, I know all to well how these teachers scam us. They get paid so much, great benefits, and suck at teaching.
Another anti teacher thread If it wasn't for the teachers who suck, guess you wouldn't know how to write on here would you? And curious what townships here in NJ pay teachers "so much" for job where you are on the clock pretty much all day/every day doing work both in and out of the classroom?

Not anti teacher at all. Just curious as to what the deal was and why it's so hush hush for now. I am sure this will be a benchmark for other towns, not only teachers but police and fire as well.
Police have arbitration so their contracts are generally better
So in other words....once too late, it becomes public
We have to pass it to find out what is in it........ that is supposed to make you feel better. How is that working out?
And yet NJ is dominated by voters who embrace those comforting words.
Proposed legislation to change state animal from horse to sheep.
State insect, mosquito instead of apis melifera.... represents NJ residents getting stung
Unions treat teachers using true liberal logic which assumes if they have a certificate they are all equal and replaceable and therefore the only way to tell the difference among teachers is time on the job. The politicians do not negotiate with the union, they ponder the cost of buying votes and being supported by conscripted teacher pay.
