Hello. I just want to know how are the public schools in Trenton. I have three children ages (1, 5, 12). I am looking to move to any area as long as I can get them the education that they need. I am located in Brooklyn New York and I need to move for my sanity and the betterment of my family.

The public schools in Trenton are among the worst in the State. Not too sure about special services but you can contact this office-

Special Education and Services

Visit Trenton, talk to the special service educators, get a feel for the environment.

Oh my goodness. Thanks for letting me know. I have two sons with autism and don't want them to be in an environment that won't meet their needs. The thing is Bergen county is so expensive and I'm desperate for alternative options.

Is there a reason you picked Trenton?

I would look at Hamilton if that area is your goal.

The reason I picked Trenton is because of the reasonable rents and diversity. That is so important to me as I am coming from Brooklyn, NY.

I would look at Hamilton too. I don't know about the rent but you will be a big step up from Trenton in terms of schools

Most of Mercer Co. is pretty diverse, Trenton is not the safest place to raise your kids.

Pretty much anywhere in Mercer County is better then Trenton.

Or, if you want to go cheaper, go slightly south into Burlington county. Once again, any town in there is better then Trenton.
