It's funny how all the signage in that part of town (including the fire department) still says "West Paterson". It's been almost 10 years.
(and MQ has the topography right. It's a climb all the way from Rt 46 to Weaseldrift, and that's south to north. Head east towards Clifton and it's a steep climb)

Trust me, when your husband is the last person called at night court, so you don't get out till 12:45 a.m., and the cops ran the plates of everybody in the parking lot and found that your vehicle wasn't registered and towed it, and you have to climb Overmount Avenue at that hour knowing that you'll also have to get up early now to walk to the Great Notch train station...you know you live on a mountain!
On the upside, I have fond memories of that car. A '75 Ford Ltd, it could climb those hills during snowstorms when everybody else was abandoning their vehicles and walking.
