Anyone else live in the area or heard of it and have horror stories? LOL>
Didn't u visit or look at the area before you bought. I knew that area was how you described it 30 years ago. Put a fly swatter on your Christmas gift list along with skin so soft.

lmao. You made me laugh. Seriously, we didn't have a ton of time to find a house. My husband got a promotion/transfer and we had to look fast... 1 year ago things were definitely better with housing,etc..but were a bit on the high side in central NJ...now it's a different story!so we are thinking of getting out of Mosquitoville!

Hopefully, I won't be here long enough to put it on my Xmas list LOL!

Howell is a good middle class town. Red necks are rare. One guy down the block used to fly the rebel flag, but he stopped doing that last year. Very reasonable home prices, good schools, lots of shopping at the strip malls. We live in Winston Park, close to Rte 9, less than a mile south of I 195. Been here 11 years. Downsized from NYC when we retired. People are friendly but mind their own business.

A lot of people that live here are blue collar workers & many are self-employed, ie. Electricians, plumbers, Environmental. Many work at the Hospital, Dental & health care. Casino workers. Some travel to Philly & No. Jersey. Plenty in restaurants and retail. Very family orientated and a great place for families.
