I am moving to Hightstown, NJ in March. Need an apartment within 10 miles of Hightstown within range of 500$ to 900$.
Please suggest.
Also I would like to know the details of the places nearby, like, East Windsor, Edison etc, where my apartment will be situtated, the details of population, races and weather.
PLease suggest.

Hightstown is a small Boro within the Township of East Windsor. The latest stats (2000)-
Race- 67.4% white
20.1% Hispanic
8.5% Black
1.2% Asian
9.6% other
$64,299.99 median annual income
$141,300.00 median house value
35.5 median age
Obviously these numbers will have adjusted over the past 6 years.
There are several apartment complexes within the Boro and the Township. 1 bedroom ranges from $700+.
Princeton Arms in Hightstown and Twin Rivers in East Windsor are a couple of rather large apartment complexes.
Today it is 19 degrees which is pretty cold for this time of year.
Don't know much about Edison but East Windsor also borders on Plainsboro Township, and West Windsor. Hope this helps!

Be wary of some of the apartment complexes in East Windsor - some are very nice, but some are filled with illegal aliens and there is a fair amount of crime and a good amount of noise. Be sure to visit the complex and really *look* around, and listen, before making a decision.
Kriegman & Smith has a complex in East Windsor, a complex in Hightstown, and a complex in Robbinsville. I can personally recommend the one in Robbinsville, which is 5-7 minutes from Hightstown at most, and very peaceful and safe. The apartments are in your price range.

I've been looking (online) for an apartment in the Hightstown/Robbinsville area myself. I have a cousin who has lived in Robbinsville for years across from the airport and loves it there. I would love to go to Sharon Arms in Robbinsville but they don't allow pets.

Hilton Realty in Princeton has several complexes also. I'm in one of their's for 7 years now. I can't vouch for the others but this one in Hamilton is well maintained.

I'm looking at a duplex for rent in Hightstown. Is this a safe and clean town? I work in Freehold.

I have lived and worked in Hightstown for about 5 years now. To answer your question, it is a very safe & clean town. Mostly everything is w/in walking distance, and there is a great downtown area. It usually takes me about 15 min to get to Freehold.
