planning to attend a wedding in hammonton, nj but I don't know how to get there from NYC by train or bus.The hotel is in Hurffville Road, Deptford. Am I closer to Philadelphia or Atlantic City? It seems that there is not much to do in Hammonton.
Thanks for your help.

Latina55, I'm just guessing but it's probably cheaper to take a bus, rather than a train, but I could be wrong. Your hotel in Deptford is not far from the Deptford Mall if you like to shop and there is a lot of nice restaurants near by. I hear the new Fishbones Grill and Outback are really good! Deptford is closer to Philly. If you hopped on 42N (right next to ya) and follow the signs, you could be in Philly in 10 minutes. I believe Hammonton is accessable from 42S and that is closer to Atlantic City. 42S (Expressway) will take you right into AC. That's a cool place to be too, just don't wander off from the Casino's!
You can ride the NJ Transit train right into Hammonton. Depending on your budget you can ride from NYC to Phila on Amtrak and then take the NJ Transit train to Hammonton (and then on to Atlantic City if you want). It is also possible to ride the NJ Transit line down from Trenton but I'm not sure if you can connect there from NYC. If you're staying in Deptford, you will have to drive there. Take the 42 South freeway to the Atlantic City Expressway (toll road). Hammonton is Exit 28 (.50 toll). About a 25 minute drive unless its rush hour. Then figure on 35-40 minutes. Hammonton does have a hotel and a few transit motels but that's about it. There is downtown shopping and a few Italian restaurants. It is home to an awesome Mexican Restaurant though. Its mostly an agricultural area. Enjoy your wedding.
