If you want good schools go to Metuchen - not far at all.

Thanks
Age of the house hardly matters as long as it upgraded and maintained. In fact older houses have better "bone".

Try Plansboro/West Winsor. Price is higher than P'way. But you will get better return when/if you sell.

I live right there on the Piscataway/Dunellen/Plainfield border and I love it. If u plan on having kids or have kids and want them to grow up in the real world maybe it's not such a bad area. But if u want to protect yourself and your family so much and live in happy little suburbs go to Bridgewater or someplace else. I really don't know much of bridgewater just said that cuz they got a fancy mall haha:P

Piscataway is a good area, and if you stay in an area close to the train station, you are a winner. Do remember that it is a very diverse community, and you will find people belonging to different race.

I think times have changed now since the original post -- I live on the border of Dunellen and South Plainfield and it's so convenient and safe. Arbor and Quibbletown schools are really nice and offer so many extra curricular activities during school hours and after school and on Saturdays. I couldn't be happier living here around the Lakeview Avenue area. And the Dunellen train station is less than 10 minutes away. I see all people of all different ethnicities in town equally at stores, at school, and in the parks. It's wonderful.
