thanx..... i agree US would have everything readily available.... but i m made to believe it's hard to find even common medication over the counter without prescription.... i keep a stock of basic medication handy for my baby here like emergency constipation relievers, flatulence relievers etc.
is it advisable to carry a lil stock of these basics.... guess its difficult to run to docs for every lil ailment.
you can get anonized aluminium utensils here for 100 bucks (10 pieces) and its great and healthy. 3 cup electric rice cooker is only 9 bucks at walmart.
and most drugs are not prescribed as you said , they are available over the counter these days ...
so you can definitely get:
stainless steel pressure pan or cooker
bread roller and base
freshly made masalas (garam, chai, and other ethnic ones)
freshly made papads (here there is no guarantee of freshness)
small stone or marble grinder (its expensive here)
your faavourite incense sticks if you have a private temple altar
clothes for baby (1 size large for future needs) - here its expensive and they anyway come from india/sri lanka and pakistan
thats all i can think for now.
