Commute from Birch Glen and Starpoint, Piscataway to NYC (Princeton: apartment, buying)

Dear all,

I am considering moving to the Piscataway area and commute to east midtown. I am looking at two communities at present, Birch Glen and Starpoint and would like to know the opinion of someone who commutes to the city from either of these. As far as the map goes, I see that from Birch Glen the commute is tougher and there is a longer drive to the stations. Which apartment community would you guys recommend? Thanks a lot in advance. I would really appreciate some help in figure out the commuting options to NYC.

I am currently in Lawrenceville near Princeton which is much further in terms of distance but takes and hour and half approx due to the express train. I am considering the option of buying in Robbinsville/Lawrenceville area as well.
