I believe any attorney will work. For short sales, the only thing that needs different is a good seller's agent so that he/she can push the seller's lender hard for quick approval.

For buyers point of view only thing you is patience. Everything else if the same standard stuff.

Anyone with better idea?

duduzh, did you find a good lawyer? how did your short sale go?

I just put in an offer on a short sale in JC also and am curious as to how others' experience was. Thanks!!

Our real estate agent also had a list of "recommended" attorneys, he mentioned one in particular was quite quick at turnaround but again he wasn't talking specifically about short sales (and as other people mentioned, the delays will probably come from the seller or bank).
