Does anyone else feel there should be a North Jersey forum and a separate South Jersey forum? Many states have more than one forum. Frequently someone has questions about which areas would be good to move to, or some similar question, and obviously, those of us who live in South Jersey know nothing , with exceptions of course, about North Jersey areas and vice versa. Or someone will ask about businesses in the area and the same holds true. Just a suggestion and I'm somewhat surprised it isn't already the case.

I'd love to hear other opinions.

Speak for yourself, I know the whole state, lived in the top half for 5 years, worked in the top half for 8 years. Plus these northern NJ people aren't so bad ;-)

I believe it should be modeled after NJ.com which I think is 4 forums:

1. Jersey (lumped like it is here)
2. NoNJ
3. Cent. NJ
4. So. NJ

Would greatly cut down on clutter and facilitate faster searches IMO.

Sure- just provide the proper dividing line for the areas, and we'll get the sub-forums set up. Last time someone suggested breaking the NJ forum into different areas, I asked the same question, and no one could give me the right answer....

Let one of us consult w/mods at NJ.com and we'll try to see how they have theirs set up.

I think it would be too many forums to keep track of. NJ is a small state. You can argue North and South forums but really not beyond that.

I don't think NJ.com actually has dividing lines, they just have the separate forums and people go to whichever one they want.

I think you are right but each one can be annoted with text (i.e. counties, etc) to point one in right direction. Look at some of the ones for other states here for ideas.
