Just a note on South Amboy -- it does not yet have ferry service. Target was this summer, but that's apparently not going to happen. City is still waiting on a waterfront development permit from the state, so who knows how long that will take.

We are from NYC and want to move to NJ- the problem is where-. We both work in the city and don't mind a max commute of 1.5 hr (door to door) and we want somewhere where the school system is excellent, as plan to have kids soon, you can get a decent house, and where the taxes don't break you (less than 15K).

Thanks so much!
New Jersey is the highest taxed of all 50......taxes break you everywhere here !!!

Can you ever say anything positive, you just cant stand that people prefer to live here (NJ) than in a swamp. If you are not going to answer the posters question then why bother responding?

Your right........I'm sorry.....Dear OP, you'll just love living in the highest taxed state in the union.....oh.....and you'll also love the corruption, state income tax, state tax, congested highways, polluted waterways, toxic superfund cleanup sites and even the fees for the right to sit on one of our hospital waste strewn beaches. Hope you find that addresses the situation in a more "positive" manner Mr. DailyJournalist.
