Default Transportation to EWR from Pompton Lakes?

Any ideas that might be less expensive than hiring the limo service from Pompton Lakes to Newark Airport? I am pretty sure the cars are going to run at least $100 one way. I know from Monmouth County, there is a shuttle that runs that is only about $25 but I can't seem to find anything somewhat direct to PLakes area that an older person could handle without it taking too many hours also. I have the feeling I'm going to have to pay for the car but just wanted to see if anyone knew of anything, or even which car company you would recommend. Thanks.

Do an online search with words such as "pompton lakes shuttle service".
You should get many listings for limos & cabs, etc. One place stated it was $39 to EWR or it said "starting at $39".

Take the NJ Transit 75 bus to Bloomfield, transfer for Newark Penn, then transfer for Airlink. Total fare about $6. Takes about an hour.

Thanks. I did not think of searching for Pompton Lakes shuttle ...just tried Newark Airport transport/shuttle. I know when I used to take cars for work travel (from a different town but similar distance), they were around $100.
I think the bus xfr is too much to ask her to do, but the price is nice She would somehow get lost...she has gotten lost at the airport before, I believe, and missed a flight.
