Any recommendations on a good place or guy in the Middlesex/Union county area? I'm not even sure what is even wrong with my computer. I think I have a few Trojans and it freezes a lot now. What should I expect to be charged?

Thanks!

Bring it to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad take a look at it. I have no idea what they charge though.

I would highly advise against using Geek Squad due to price and lack of knowledge. Look in the yellow pages you should definitely find someone there.

If you have a backup Windows OS disk, I would back up any data you don't want to lose, reformat the hard drive, and reinstall windows. That's the best way to clear up any problems rather than spending money on software that may or may not clear up any viruses you may have.

Geed Squad charges about $100. Pricey. Sounds you need someone else to look at it. I always built my own pcs and never had anyone else fix my issues. Running Windows 7 now and its awesome!

Anyways, i believe you have a better shot of better quality of knowledge of using a non-chain store to fix it
