I am inquiring to anyone who might know what the better catholic schools are in Somerset and Mercer. I am looking at St. Paul in Princeton and St. Matthias in Franklin twp. I really don't know much about the other catholic schools in the area. I am looking for a school that would rank higher than Hillsborough public schools. Any input would be helpful.

I attended St. Paul’s in Princeton for 6th-8th grade having transferred from a nearby public school. I am very gratefully that my parents sent me there. I graduated from SPS in 2002 and went on to high school at Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville which a majority of St. Paul Students do.
I absolutely loved my time at St. Paul’s! The class sizes are very small and you get a lot of one on one attention from the teachers. Everyone is very close and caring. Most of my good friends to this day were classmates of mine from St. Paul’s.
There are a good amount of activities to participate in for the size of the size of the school. Most students play in one or more of the many CYO sports team that SPS fields. Many of the teachers have been teaching there forever!! I am still a member of St. Paul’s Church and it very cool to go back and see some of the renovations they have made (new science lab in particular) to the school.
Also, St. Paul’s is located in beautiful downtown Princeton right across the street from the University.
If you have any other questions please feel free to PM me!
