If your budget was $500k and you could live anywhere in NJ, where would you choose? Let's say that schools are an important factor. Thanks!

Probably the Westfield / Cranford area..... good schools, cute town with a nice feel, close enough to the major highways that get myself & the mister to work, and its close to my family. I'd be happy there.

Manasquan. Middletown. Point Pleasant Beach. Cranford. Moorestown. Milltown. Toms River.

That covers a lot of ground across the state.

Tough one. 500K is still a low budget in many nice towns.

Default Hunterdon County

Hunterdon County has many towns that would fit in <$500k and have above average school systems. To name a few - Flemington, Readington, East Amwell, Clinton.

Why? I always found that area of New Jersey to be kinda boring, personally. I have a friend who lives in Cranford, the next town over, and I always thought that whole area was pretty vanilla - nice enough, but nothing going for it aside from its proximity to public transit to NYC.
