Help us decide East Brunswick or Springfield
We are relocating from Jersey City and are debating between Springfield or East Brunswick.
They both seem to have nice schools and a nice community.
In East Brunswick you can get more for your money
Springfield is closer to the city.
Both towns have high taxes and abundance of restaurant and shoppings.
I have to make a choice soon, please help us out with your comments. Share your personal experience with these two towns.

Depends where you work.
East Brunswick is a nice, solid town. I don't know much about Springfield.

For schools NJmonthly has them ranked at
springfield 32
east brunswick 76
If location doesnt matter to you then go with what you stated, "In East Brunswick you can get more for your money"

Isn't Springfield a town inside that animated show called The Simpsons?
You're better off living in a real town so I would go with East Brunswick.

I lived in Springfield for a couple of years, the town is nice, and I always heard great things about it. This is when we first moved to NJ, ended up buying a house in Maplewood because we just never got a great vibe from Springfield. That said, I have several friends that love it, great schools, and for your commute a heck of a lot better.

I have reviewed the NJ monthly ranking but it is confusing. According to the Average SAT Score and other standardized testings EB is better than Springfield, Cranford, and a few others which are ranked above 32... go figure. Even the average of those Scoring 3 or Higher on AP Tests is better in EB than most schools above 32.

Same here. I know is closer but something is missing. But then I also feel intimidated by how far EB is from my job
