Hello ,

My husband works and does business in Newark. Our children go to a private christian school in Stratford NJ . We want to move to an area where he would be an hour from Newark, and I would be around an Hour (I guess) to take the kids to school. We really love the school so I'm willing to commute. We **** to stay in the 450,000 range. Any suggestions?

Wouldn't it be easier to move closer to Newark and find a new school?

Anyhow! I would recommend Hamilton, to be in the middle of Newark and Stratford.. The public schools there are fine, but not as highly regarded as some of the other towns in the area. But since you are using private schools, there is really no reason to pay more for a house in one of those other towns. You can get a really nice house there now for about 400K I would say.

Good luck.

Check out Allentown, NJ up to the East Windsor area, just off the Rt 95 corridor, that would be about midway for each of your commutes.

Best wishes

You can find a decent home in Cranford for $ 450,000. Only 20 ninutes to Newark, and Cranford has great schools.
