I'm assuming he means next June. Early June...highs average about 70 with lows about 32. By late June, highs average around 75 with lows in the upper 30s. The last snowfall of the season tends to be a light one...the first week of June.

Cathy4017: Sure sounds good to me. I wouldn't miss summer in DFW one bit.
Makes me want to move there, Catman, LOL!!
But I know that the mountain pass in the winter is something else!!
Ever priced property there? What I have seen there is horrendously expensive!
I think we are approaching more moderate weather soon--the agent I have been emailing off and on for the past couple of years said that even the summer in SF this year has been a lot hotter than normal!
It has been nice today, and rained this afternoon, cooling things down a good bit!
I don't think DFW will cool off any for until mid-September, but that's par for the course. Yes, Red River is an expensive place to buy property. Several days ago, it was 100 degrees in Boston (and 102 in NYC), so it's been a scorcher. It's been about average here, which is sufficiently horrible with the humidity.
I remember following a snowplow out of Red River through Bobcat Pass on October 16. I don't think I could take all that winter snow. I love being there in late September, when the leaves are starting to change and the town is very quiet.
Yes, typical Texas....Midland didn't usually cool off to my liking until after Halloween. I had fun one year pulling up the last chile bushes Halloween night while it snowed on me. That was so rare!
I imagine September and October are the best months to visit Red River......one of these days I'll try its ski area.
I was in Angel Fire earlier this week and the high one day was about 65, with a little rain.
