Camp out? Are you nuts? What about the critters?
Reptiles, arachnids, insects? Can't you actually saddle
up and ride some of those Florida roaches?

I know people who think the climate in Atlanta is "Fantastic"
and also people in Houston who say the same thing. I like
those places too, but hate their climates. I don't hate Phoenix
weather, but consider it too hot. I know people there who hate
the winters there.

Sorry, I should have said I know INSANE people who ...

I am sorry that you thought I was "complaining". I was just stating a fact that I do not do well in hot areas. I have lived in both. What difference does it make where I grew up? I'm guessing however I answer you will rationalize why I don't like the heat, when I was only stating a personal preference and comfort zone that I have had all my life.

I love the colder climates and I love lots of snow. That is why I will live in northern New Mexico and not southern. I just wanted anyone seeing information about Las Cruces to know it has very hot summers and seems to me that one would have to love the heat to live there.

Towanda complained about me complaining that she was complaining:

(Sorry, I couldn't resist ...)

Technically, I was not complaining about you complaining.
I just remarked that you were complaining. Notice that I
didn't say Towanda whined or Towanda whimpered.

(I got *smacked* for saying "blathered" once in these forums,
but they deserved it and I don't regret it.)

It's OK to complain. I complain all the time. Here's some examples:

I have to work this weekend - both Saturday and Sunday.
Of all the places I've lived, Houston has the worst climate.
(I like the city -- hated the climate.)
It doesn't snow enough in Albuquerque.

> I love the colder climates and I love lots of snow.

I used to shovel snow back in Ohio wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
Even if I started getting a little cold when it was below 20 I
would keep doing it because I used to love to freak out people
who climbed out of their cars wearing winter parkas.

Why do people do that anyway? It's more uncomfortable to be
wearing a heavy winter coat inside an automobile than it is
to just wait for the heater to get going. When you get out
of your car and make a short walk to a building, why put on
a coat? It's just nuts if you are not walking a long way.

Yeah we had those critters (especially the banana spiders) crawl across our carpets and floors and walls etc...all the time lin our house.

Yeap we really liked White Springs/Itchetucknee springs state parks and go intertubing on the clear water or go to Anastasia state park on the beach and camp there also but......try sleeping in a tent with that type of humidty which was again like a sauna......

Anyway an interesting experience living there to say the least....

My wife and I lived in Albuquerque for 3 months in 2005, and we loved it (we're from Milwaukee, WI)... We'd absolutely love to go back (we're 26 and 25).
