You guys in the northern part of the state can keep that weather. My destination is to my backyard, in shorts and a bottle of Sol. Burgers on the grill tonight sound good.

Default New Mexico Weather

New Mexico has a very Diverse weather pattern. The Northern part can easily get 2 feet of Snow sometimes with 20 to 25 below temps and also the Middle part of New Mexico can get these same weather conditions. These two areas can get their first snow in October and their last one the end of May sometimes in June. The summers can get in the 40s at night but rarely get to 100 degrees in the summer although last summer was the exception with over 100 degrees temps.

The southern part of New Mexico with the exception of Ruidoso which gets the same kind of Temps as the Northern part of New Mexico and can also get the same amount of snow also. The Southern part in the Summer can get to over 100 degrees through the Summer and temps in the 60 to 70 degree range at night but in the winter it rarely gets down to 40 degrees in the day with the exception of the last few days which it has been getting in the single digits and they have been getting plenty of snow but rarely stays on the ground for more then two or three days.

Hope this information helps those of you interested in moving out here also the heat is a dry climate type of heat with just a small amount of Humidity which is good not like some other states with lots of heat and lots of humidity which can cause diaper rash for some people.

Also we get lots of wind throughout N.M. in the Spring especially and at the end of summer when the temps are changing from hot to cold or spring when its turning from cold to hot but i tell people that We have the Best Fresh Air in the World but according to weather forecasters WE have the most Beautiful Sunsets in the World. Does the weather swing a lot like Denver? Particularly the shoulder seasons (Fall/Spring)? I'll be getting there around March/April.
